We’ll fly
Again
Goodbye
Till then
You will be fine.
It’s just the wind.
Dusk fall’s divine
Waning light thinned.
Go back to sleep.
It’s our twilight, but
Just bind our flight on
The shroud’s midnight-blue
Wind.
Go, and never come
Back, forever numb
To dreams severed from
Sleep.
And when the midnight plane comforts you
We will dance as all fallen do
As pinpoints of light bend and blend into
What lives
And as moonbeams displace our air
Held aloft, beyond all despair
What is shared in duality paired?
What gives?
This night when the quiet swells in song
This light, softened, silent, spells prolong
This slightly-shifted hurt rebels, headstrong
This tight, constricted hollow shell won’t sleep
Until across dusk-chilled air we sweep
Fulfilling climbing flight’s rarest leap
We spill summer’s foul despair so steep
But it’s just the wind.
It’s time to soar
Just bring your light
The tides may roar
Wind guides our flight
It’s a delight to
Just dance starlight onto
The clouds’ moonlight-hued
Wind.
Go, and don’t dare look
Back, love, look forward
To skies unmoored from
Sleep.
And with starlight above blurring then,
And with streetlight below rising from when
We found solace – small joys, profound in
Mundane
And as we leap, glide, and balter in time
Upon midnight-blue-shifted altar and climb
Beyond faltering minds who’d halter sublime
Campaign
We’ll fly to another time and place
We’ll fly to a softer rhyme and pace
Relying upon our own refined time-space
We’ll try to find more kindness and grace
And when we feel we can’t rise anew
Feel the wind shift our fallen view
Feel the lift in our limbs as we rise to
New streams
And when it seems all just too damned much
And when the screams reach for a throat to clutch
Ascend moonbeams in that dark night to touch
New dreams
It’s our twilight now, but
You will be fine.
Flashbacks might allow, but
It’s just the wind.
Dusk fall’s divine
waning light thinned.
We’ll fly and remind the world of us
We’ll try to refine our world for us
Suppling our own worldly surplus
We’ll fly to a kinder world for us
We’ll soar on love and relief from life
We’ll pour ourselves into this brief jackknife
Once more, our Selves dissolved into midnight
We’ll soar above every grief and strife
This night, where light streaks blur with shade
This sightline-shifted grief, decayed
This flight, fading, slight retrograde
This light, ignited, unafraid
But you will be fine.
It’s just the wind.
Dusk fall’s divine
Waning light thinned.
Go back to sleep.
We’ll fly
Again.
Goodbye
Till then.

Oh yeah, and I published a book! What is it about? What an attractive question!
Tips are always welcome.
Beautiful poem.. on a kind of abstract level I love the way the writing gets denser and larger on the page as it goes before returning to settle again. Not sure if that was intentional but super cool 🤘
This felt like I was in a ray of rainbows and lights and even when I was unconsciously saying goodbye it still felt warm.
This is so detailed and beautifull BJ.
